Let`s #getbilateral @ the Online Matchmaking Week 2nd edition

Based on the successful results obtained in the past, when the previous NGO Fund significantly facilitated mutual learning and understanding among Romanian and donor state organisations, the new Active Citizens Fund Romania programme relies on lessons learned and focuses on enhancing sustainable partnerships in areas where the expertise of organisations is most effectively capitalized for the benefit of the civil society.

Given that we have opened the second round of Calls for Proposals for the Active Citizens Fund Romania ,we invite non-governmental organizations from Romania, interested in bilateral partnerships with entities from the donor states Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, second series of online meetings to facilitate interaction and discussions on opportunities for cooperation and development of partnerships (Online Matchmaking Week, 2nd edition), meetings to be organized online between 22nd and 26th of March 2021,organized under the Fund for Bilateral Relations.

The aim of the meetings is to facilitate contact and discussions on opportunities for cooperation and partnership development between representatives of interested parties from Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein and Romanian NGOs.

Thus, we seek to select at least 25 organizations from Romania, interested in applying with project proposals within the Active Citizens Fund Romania program, interested in projects in cooperation with organizations from donor states and carrying out their activity and / or want to submit proposals of projects on the following topics: human rights, freedom of speech and fake news, democracy, vulnerable groups, civic education.

The format of the online events will consist of meetings of approximately 3 hours each, in the first part of each day of the week March 22 - 26, each day focusing on one of the topics mentioned above. At these facilitated meetings, selected organizations from Romania will be brought together with organizations interested in partnerships from donor states (especially Norway) and will meet, have discussions on the specific topics and discuss the possibility of submitting a partnership project.

The working language of the event will be ENGLISH and no translation services will be provided.

For this online event we are looking to select at least 25 participants representing Romanian NGOs interested in applying within the Active Citizens Fund with bilateral partnership projects. Interested individuals are asked to fill in the online registration form which can be accessed HERE .

The participants will be selected according to the interest shown towards the topics addressed by the event, as well as according to the descriptions provided in the registration form. Only applications that offer details about a concrete project idea that can be submitted within ACF Romania will be considered. Priority will be given to representatives of organizations that have not been involved so far in activities organized under the Fund for Bilateral Relations.
