The objective of this Call is to provide support for protection and social inclusion of refugees fleeing from Ukraine.
The Call is launched under the Programme Outcome 3 - Vulnerable groups are empowered and covers one area of support of the Active Citizens Fund in Romania, „Social justice and inclusion of vulnerable groups”.
Eligible applicants are exclusively legally established Romanian non-governmental and non-profit organizations (NGOs) that have implemented or are currently implementing a project financed through Active Citizens Fund Romania, as project promoter or partner.
Project grant rate can be up to 100% of the total eligible costs of the project.
Eligible projects will address social inclusion of refugees that arrived in Romania as a consequence of the war in Ukraine, with a focus on the most vulnerable ones and the engagement of stakeholders in the process, creating benefits for local population as well.
Thus, projects will:
- facilitate access to existing services and contribute to improvement and adaptation of existing services and development of new services for refugees fleeing Ukraine, with an integrated and inclusive approaches that go beyond immediate response: accommodation, medical support, learning Romanian language, access to education, employment, support groups, etc.
- provide (as needed) support (such as proper information, training, counselling) to the personnel working directly with the refugees/migrants (social workers, community mediators, interprets, etc.) to ensure quality interventions and continuation of activities in a safe manner.
Transfer of knowledge with other organisations providing expertise in relevant fields related to refugee crisis response is highly encouraged.
Provision of social services shall only be supported as part of actions addressing awareness raising, advocacy and/or empowerment of targeted vulnerable groups.
There are strongly encouraged partnerships with more experienced NGOs, as well as with other stakeholders.
