Based on the successful results obtained in the past, when the previous NGO Fund significantly facilitated mutual learning and understanding among Romanian and donor state organisations, the new Active Citizens Fund Romania programmerelies on lessons learned and focuses on enhancing sustainable partnerships in areas where the expertise of organisations is most effectively capitalized for the benefit of the civil society.
September 9, 2021 is the last application deadline for small grants within the Active Citizens Fund Romania programme. Therefore, we invite non-governmental organizations from Romania and entities from the donor states Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to an online matchmaking meeting to facilitate interaction and discussions on opportunities for cooperation and development of partnerships (Online Matchmaking)meeting to be organized online, on the August 24, 2021,organized under the Fund for Bilateral Relations.
The aim of the meetings is to facilitate contact and discussions on opportunities for cooperation and partnership development between representatives of interested parties from Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein and Romanian NGOs.
Thus, we invite to this event organizations from Romania and entities from the donor states,interested in applying with project proposals within the Active Citizens Fund Romania programme, interested in bilateral projects on the following topics:
- stimulating civic engagement in underserved areas and for underserved target groups;
- enhancing awareness on human rights/equal treatment, at local level, in underserved areas and/or for underserved target groups;
- empowering vulnerable groups from underserved areas, including interethnic communities and contribute to their social inclusion.
The format of the online events will consist of a 2 hours long meeting, 10.00 – 12.00 CET, focusing on the topics mentioned above. At these facilitated meetings, selected organizations from Romania will be brought together with organizations interested in partnerships from donor states (especially Norway) and will meet, have discussions on the specific topics and discuss the possibility of submitting a partnership project.
The working language of the event will be ENGLISH and no translation services will be provided.
